Isolation and evaluation of virucidal activities of flavanone glycosides and rosmarinic acid derivatives from Dracocephalum spp. against feline calicivirus

Feline calicivirus is one of the surrogate viruses human norovirus. This study aimed to identify virucidal compounds, chemical constituents plants from genus Dracocephalum, which are rich in flavonoids and phenylpropanoid oligomers. Four undescribed including a flavanone glucoside, two stilbenoid glycosides, amide glycoside, as well 17 known were isolated Mongolian Dracocephalum fruticulosum Stephan ex Willd., D. nutans L. belonging family Lamiaceae. The structures compounds determined based on NMR, MS, electronic CD spectroscopic data. In addition these 21 15 previously reported foetidum Bunge C.F. von Ledebour included, total 36 evaluated for their activities against feline calicivirus. Some glycosides oligomers showed activities, structural features discussed. findings suggest that isosakuranetin may have potential norovirus inactivation.
